My grandma is a strong woman,
She's 93 years old
And she's the last of my grandparents I've got left.
In times when the world was still lead by men,
My grandma was bold
And followed her own quest.
She was young and, at times, scared,
But she gave it no rest,
She followed her own path,
She did not listen to the rest.
My grandma is a strong woman
And she was the leader of her life,
She's always been one step ahead
And she was never your regular housewife.
She and my grandpa moved to the city
With just plans and dreams and no help from anyone,
They did it on their own and accepted no one's pity
And they did just well on the long run.
My grandma is a strong woman,
She is really a superwoman,
One of my childhood heroes...
And I know I don't call her as much as I could,
But I hope that she knows
That she's part of my heart
And that day she will go
I simply just know
That I'll cry and try in vain,
But I'll never again be the same...
