I wish they would have taught me in school
How to be an adult;
I would've felt as less of a fool
Now that I'm all grown up.
I wish I would've self-taught myself while in school
How to grow into an adult;
But my mind was such a big ridicule,
I was just a scared silly pup.

I wish that now that I'm an adult,
I'd have more time to self-teach myself
To be the way that I was back in school,
Scared and silly and a big ridicule,
But freer and happier and much more carefree.
Am I the adult that hoped for teenage me,
The person I longed and hoped that I'd be?
