20+ survival kit

I'm 26. They say I'm an adult.
They say I need a job, a house, a car, a vault.
Need to get married, have my kids and all
And if I don't, they'll say I'm tryin' to stall.
They say in order to survive I need all that,
I need some fancy clothes, some shoes and bags, a hat,
They say I always should dress to impress
For that's the only path that'll lead me to success.
But now you're asking: Who the hell are they?
Well, they may sometimes be my friends,
My family or someone I met along the way,
Somebody that perhaps at 18 received a Benz,
Or someone that I never even met:
They made those commercials I see on an ultra expensive TV set,
They made an outdoor for that very fancy show
Or maybe I heard their voice loud on the radio.

I'm 26. They say I'm an adult.
But to be honest, I'm barely far from bold,
I'm still a child, living in my own world
Who doesn't give a shit about what she's been told.
I'm 26. So what? It's just a number!
I shall not let them now disturb my slumber;
I dream utopias where money doesn't matter,
Where not just everybody follows the same damn pattern!

I do love clothes, ok, that much is true,
But I would live without them pretty damn well, too!
I love perfumes and travelling a lot,
I love to go by train, my favourite's the train of thought!
I love to travel in my lover's mind,
I love to dress in memories of when he's been kind.
I love to smell of love, kisses and hugs
And have all laughters as the bestest drugs!

I'm 26. I say I'm an adult and a child,
And truth be told I am a spirit wild!

Now listen up, the best survival kit
Is not having all the material shit,
But having means to make your inner child
So happy that he'll always keep you mild!
