"Try out new things, be who you want to be"
Sure, but my pathology is to be scared:
When I was a kid, it took me 6 months to build up the courage to take the elevator
(Once I did, I would not want to take the stairs again).
When I was a teenager, I was afraid to talk to people, until I got to highschool and made a couple of good friends
(Once I did, they wouldn't shut me up for the love of God).
When I was a young adult, I was afraid of what I'd do with my life, skipping sleep because of that
(And I'm still struggling, still there,
Still keeping my dreams hidden away from everyone,
Becoming yet another number for the sake of material comfort).

If I were to turn back time,
It'd be just to relive it,
It'd be to live it better,
To breathe it all in,
To open all my senses
And feel it even more,
It'd be just to make sure
I'm not missing any second,
Not blinking through any smile,
All happiness for a while,
No thinking, only feeling,
Magic comes in all kinds.

If I were to turn back time,
I'd probably be a superhero.

People love looking at the stars,
Now that's a fact.
But you need a clear sky
To see all the beauty beyond.
Now where will you find all that,
When you live in pollution
(Just thank "evolution"),
But you've got all your comfort nearby?
You love yourself a big city,
Think to yourself "what a pity"
When another park turns into your new closer mall
And then you comment with your friends
That you're all breathing shitty air,
When you don't move a finger for a change
(When you generally don't move without a car).

People love looking at the stars,
Now that's a fact.
Since the sky will give you nothing,
Due to the above already mentioned,
You'll turn to your good ol' pal for stars.
No, I'm not talking about the telescope,
Nothing related to astronomy, nope,
Just the internet or your cable for the win.
You'll see there so many stars,
You'll be curious to know,
What's their shoe size, who they fuck,
Where they live and where they travel,
What they eat and what they drink,
How they keep their stomach flat...
And by all means, you'll ask me that:
Can a stupid sky give us all that?

We often wonder "but what are people going to say?"
People are going to say what they always say
Which is a bunch of stuff. Mean or shallow or envious.
What people will never do is actually live for you,
People with not live with your fear or regret of deciding not to do
What you wanted to do but were afraid of what people might say.
Just breathe. If you're a teenager, they'll say you're an idiot anyway,
If you're an adult, grow a pair and own your life
And if you're old, they'll say it's crazy but cute and hope they'll end up like you.
And if you're smart, you'll get that it doesn't matter, none of that,
That life is so short, nobody remembers most of it,
So do what you want, live crazy, live wild,
Because the end of it is whatever but mild.
